Hello. This is HOUSE.
So now that HOUSE has a home (number uno on the mighty Berwick St, Soho), it was also time to have an identity. A little make-over was required, and this is what we came up with.
It’s a very versatile identity, and simples too. We didn’t want to go all crazy fancy in your eyes. After a couple of us submitted logo designs, we settled on the logo, by yours truly, and the typeface which Luisa brought to the table. Everyone else threw in their opinions, et voila. A truly co-created identity, embodying the spirit of PopUpHOUSE itself.
Initially, I threw a few ideas around and after breaking several things, landed on the simple representation of a house itself – don’t confuse obviousness with genius simplicity, yo.*
*May not be actual genius.
The circle means that it fits nicely into the word HOUSE itself – and so forgoing the need to have Logo + Name all the time. Hopefully the logo will become known worldwide* so it’s synonymous with our excellent creativity, but for now, it means it can represent everything we do in the best way possible.
*Or at least in the minds of you cool creative types, which is basically the whole world anyway.
So we’ve got the overarching HOUSE collective identity which we are all proudly chained to like a cult members of:
And of course the identity for our extra-special PopUp shop happening in September:
The hand-drawn feel hopefully expresses a little bit of what we’re about, without coming across as too corporate. We’re just your friendly neighbourhood creatives. Do drop us a line, we like chat. And cakes. Lots of cakes.
